College and Military Representatives

 

College Admissions Counselors and Military Recruiters will not be visiting Woodlan Jr/Sr High School this fall due to district wide visitor restrictions.  If you need contact information for a specific college please visit the website for that school and click on "Admissions".  If you need contact information for the military, please email Mrs. Nunley at snunley@eacs.k12.in.us and she will provide the contact information for you.


UPCOMING COLLEGE AND CAREER EVENTS          

Ball State University Youth Interior Design Forum

This workshop is for high school students grades 9-12 (even graduated seniors) to explore fundamentals of 2D and 3D concepts, basic drawing skills, use of color and light, and how interior environments affect human behavior.  There are two options for the workshop: 

  • A 10 day on-campus workshop (June 18-June 27)
  • Two 4-week online workshops (June 14-July 9 and July 12-August 6)

Students who participate in this workshop will have a required elective waived if they get admitted to Ball State University’s Interior Design Program upon graduating from high school.  For more information and registration please visit, www.bsu.edu/designforum or call 765-285-1471

 

Purdue University Fort Wayne Virtual Spring Campus Visit Day

During this virtual event students can explore their area of academic interest, ask questions about internship opportunities, learn about financial aid, and speak with professors.  This virtual event will take place on Saturday, March 20th from 1:00pm-4:30pm.  Students can register for this event at https://apply.pfw.edu/register/?id=8aa81b36-0097-4054-8e16-d538c901dd9f.  If you have questions please call 260-481-6812.

 

Indiana Tech Virtual Explore IT Day

This virtual event is for high school students and their parents to explore Indiana Tech’s campus, campus life opportunities, the application process, financial aid opportunities, degree options and more.  This virtual event will take place on Saturday, March 13th.  For more information about this event, visit www.admissions.indianatech.edu and click on “Schedule a Visit” and then “Virtual Explore IT”. 

 

Young Leaders of Northeast Indiana High School Leadership Institute

This program will take place June 7-9 and June 14-16 in central locations in downtown Fort Wayne.  This opportunity is for high school sophomores, juniors and seniors to gain leadership skills and network with fellow high school leaders and peers through interactive sessions and activities.  To learn more about this program and to complete the online application visit www.ylni.org or call Jessica Morales at (203) 722-0930.  The application opens on March 1st and the deadline to apply is May 1st.

 

Hoosier Girls State

Current junior females can apply for this event.  This is a once in a lifetime experience designed to educate young women of Indiana in the duties, privileges, rights and responsibilities of citizenship.  It is a week of living and learning the political system of Indiana through a mythical City, County and State.  This event will be virtual and will take place Sunday June 20th through Saturday June 26th.  If you are interested in getting more information about this event, please see Mrs. Nunley in the Guidance Office.
