Kids Chance Inc of Indiana

This scholarship is for students whose families have been financially impacted by workplace injury or death.  Information available at www.kidschancein.org.

 

National Co-Op Scholarship Program

Students must have a GPA of 3.5 or better on a 4.0 scale and be accepted into one of the following universities for the 2017-2018 school year:  Drexel University, Johnson & Wales University, Rochester Institute of Technology, University of Cincinnati, University of Toledo, Wentworth Institute of Technology, Clarkson University, State University of New York Oswego, University of Massachusetts Lowell, or Merrimack College.  Students can apply online at www.waceinc.org.  Deadline to apply is February 15, 2019.

 

Community Foundation of Greater Fort Wayne

The Community Foundation of Greater Fort Wayne offers MANY scholarships to Allen County seniors.  Visit the website at www.cfgfw.org for more information on all of the scholarships or pick up a brochure in guidance.  Application deadlines vary per scholarship.

 

OppU Achievers Scholarship

$2,500 scholarship awarded to a high school senior who has a GPA of 3.0 or higher.  Students must submit a short essay answering the question “What makes you an achiever?”.  Visit www.opploans.com/scholarship/ to apply.  There are four deadlines to apply: September 30 (Fall), December 31 (Winter), March 31 (Spring), and June 30 (Summer).

Jim Kelley Memorial Scholarship

2 scholarships in the amount of $1,500 each will be awarded to students pursuing a career in the field of aviation.  One scholarship will be awarded to an individual who is accepted to an accredited four year college or university and one scholarship will be awarded to a student accepted to Ivy Tech Community College’s Air Frame-Power Plant Program.  Students must have a GPA of at least a 3.0 on a 4.0 scale.  Scholarship applications can be picked up in the guidance office.  Deadline to apply is February 28, 2020.

 

Allen County Extension Homemakers Scholarship

The Allen County Extension Homemakers offering a $1,000 scholarship to an Allen County senior who will be attending Purdue West Lafayette or Purdue Fort Wayne in the College and Health and Human Services.  Scholarship criteria will be based upon scholastic achievement, leadership and citizenship in school and in the community, career plans, and recommendations.  Applications are available in the guidance office.  Deadline to apply is May 1, 2020.

 

Indiana Extension Homemaker Association Vocational or Technical Scholarship

The Indiana Extension Homemaker Association is offering one $500 scholarship to a senior student who is planning to attend a vocational or technical program to earn an industry certification.  Student must demonstrate financial need and have volunteer/community service experience.  Applications are available in the guidance office.  Deadline to apply is May 1, 2020.

 

Paulding Putnam Electric Cooperative

Paulding Putnam Electric Cooperative is offering on $1,000 scholarship to a senior student who is the child of a Paulding Putnam Cooperative permanent residential member.  Student must have a GPA of 3.5 or higher.  Applications can be found at www.ppec.coop.  Deadline to apply is February 14, 2020.

 

BF Goodrich Tech Scholars Program

BF Goodrich and Ivy Tech have partnered together for the Tech Scholars Program.  To be eligible for this program, students must be enrolled full time at Ivy Tech in the Industrial Electrical Technology program.  Student must have and maintain a 2.5 GPA and be able to work a minimum of 20 hours per week at BF Goodrich.  Students must demonstrate strong math, science, reading and reading comprehension skills and pass a pre-employment test.  For more information about this program contact Ivy Tech at 260-480-4248.  Information about this program and testing for this program will take place at Ivy Tech in the Keith E. Busse Technology Center on March 6, 2020 at 10:00am and 1:00pm.

 

PHP Scholarship Program

For high school seniors planning to pursue a career in a health-related field. Must have a 3.0 on a 4.0 scale and be a PHP member or attend high school in the PHP service area. Complete a Scholarship Application form and a typewritten response to an assigned public health question (details outlined in the application).  Applications and additional information can be found at www.phpni.com Deadline to apply is February 21, 2020.

 

Fort Wayne Central High School Alumni Scholarship

$500 non-renewable scholarship.  Must be a descendent of a Fort Wayne Central High School graduate.  Applications are available in the Guidance Office.  Deadline is March 27, 2020.

 

Beta Sigma Psi

Beta Sigma Psi is a National Lutheran Fraternity supporting four scholarships for Lutheran males.  The Christian Leadership Award will award $1,500 for a male student attending the University of Illinois, Indiana, or Purdue.  The Martin Luther Scholarship will award $2,000 for a male attending any accredited 4-year college.  Must be confirmed members of a Lutheran congregation attending college in the fall of 2020.  Applications and additional information can be found at http://scholarships.betasigmapsi.org.    Deadline to apply is February 15, 2020.

 

Starbright Foundation Scholarship Fund

Must be ranked in the top half of your graduating class, a US citizen, have lived in the EACS district and attended Woodlan, New Haven, or Leo High School for at least one year, demonstrate financial need and display character traits of perseverance and diligence.  Applications must be completed online at www.csascholars.org/starbright.  Deadline is 5:00pm on February 18, 2020.  Flyers are available in guidance.

 

Edgar H. Kilbourne Scholarship Fund

Must be ranked in the top half of your graduating class, have a minimum GPA of a 2.0 on a 4.0 scale, a US citizen, a resident of Allen County for at least one year, be affiliated with or a member of a church or religious group, and demonstrate financial need, traits of good moral character, and leadership.  Applications must be completed online at www.csascholars.org/kilbourne. Deadline is 5:00pm on February 18, 2020.  Flyers are available in guidance.

 

Questa Scholars Program

The Questa Scholars Program is a forgivable low interest loan available for moderate to middle income individuals and families to assist with filling in the financial gap for education.  Applications are available at www.questafoundation.org and must be submitted between November 15, 2019 and March 15, 2020.  Information about this program is available in the Guidance Office.  Questions can be emailed to questafoundation.org.  It is beneficial to apply to this program early as spots fill up quickly!!

 

Indiana Sheriffs’ Association Scholarship

$750 scholarship.  Must be an active affiliate or associate member of the Indiana Sheriff’s Association or dependent of an affiliate or member, be an Indiana Resident, attend an Indiana college or university full time, major in law enforcement field.  Applications are available in the Guidance Office or online at www.indianasheriffs.org.   Deadline is April 1, 2020.

 

Mitch Daniels Early Graduation Scholarship

$4,000 one time scholarship awarded to any student who graduate from high school a year early.  Application can be found at www.in.gov/che/4508.htm.  Deadline to apply is September 1, 2019.

 

We the Students Essay Contest

Up to $7,500 award and a scholarship to the 2020 Constitutional Academy.  Students must write an essay addressing the prompt “What does civil discourse mean to you?”  For more information about the essay contest visit www.billofrightsinstitute.org.  Click on “Engage Students” in the top left corner and then click on “We the Students Essay Contest”.  Deadline to submit an essay is February 14, 2020.

 

 

Flavorful Futures Scholarship

$5,000 scholarship awarded to a 2020 graduating senior who “is not afraid to be themselves” and can stand out in a crowd.  Applicants must have a minimum GPA 0f 2.5 on a 4.0 scale.  Applications and a full list of requirements can be found at www.flavorfulfutures.com.  Deadline to apply is February 15, 2020.

 

Automotive Scholarship

Several scholarships in varying amounts for students who are pursuing a degree in automotive, heavy duty or collision repair technology.  There is no GPA requirement for these scholarships.  Applications can be found at www.automotivescholarships.com.  Deadline to apply is March 31, 2020.

 

PB&J Scholarship

$500-$1,000 for students who have experienced challenges in their life and who have the drive to succeed.  For a full list of requirements and to complete the online application, please visit http://bit.ly/pbjscholars2020.  Deadline to apply is May 31, 2020.

 

Student-View Scholarship Program

Up to $5,000 for students who are planning to attend a four year college, two year college or career/technical school.  There are no SAT/ACT or GPA requirements.  Applications are available at www.student-view.com.  Deadline to apply is April 22, 2020.

 

E.A. Charlton Scholarship

Alpha Phi Alpha Fraternity, Theta Upsilon Lambda Chapter is awarding a $1,500 scholarship to black males who demonstrate financial need, have a minimum GPA of 2.5, and have been accepted to a college/university.  Applications are available in the Guidance Office.  Deadline to apply is March 2, 2020.

 

Kyle L. Harrop Memorial Scholarship

$500 renewable for one year for a student planning to attend Purdue University West Lafayette.  Student must have participated in Academic Super Bowl, Academic Spell Bowl, Quiz Bowl, Academic Decathlon, and/or Future Problem Solvers while in high school.  Applications can be found in the Guidance Office.  Deadline to apply is

March 31, 2020.

 

Marine Corps Scholarship Foundation

Several scholarships in varying amounts for eligible students who are a child of Marine or Navy Corpsmen.  For more information on eligibility or to apply visit, www.mcsf.org/apply.  Deadline to apply is March 3, 2020.

 

ISTA Foundation Scholarship

ISTA members who have a child, stepchild, grandchild or step-grandchild graduating from high school during the 2019-2020 school year.  District Scholarship Nomination Form is available on the ISTA website or in the Guidance Office.
