College and Military Representatives

 

College Admissions Counselors and Military Recruiters will not be visiting Woodlan Jr/Sr High School this fall due to district wide visitor restrictions.  If you need contact information for a specific college please visit the website for that school and click on "Admissions".  If you need contact information for the military, please email Mrs. Nunley at snunley@eacs.k12.in.us and she will provide the contact information for you.


UPCOMING COLLEGE AND CAREER EVENTS          

Ball State University Youth Interior Design Forum

This workshop is for high school students grades 9-12 (even graduated seniors) to explore fundamentals of 2D and 3D concepts, basic drawing skills, use of color and light, and how interior environments affect human behavior.  There are two options for the workshop: 

  • A 10 day on-campus workshop (June 18-June 27)
  • Two 4-week online workshops (June 14-July 9 and July 12-August 6)

Students who participate in this workshop will have a required elective waived if they get admitted to Ball State University’s Interior Design Program upon graduating from high school.  For more information and registration please visit, www.bsu.edu/designforum or call 765-285-1471

 

Young Leaders of Northeast Indiana High School Leadership Institute

This program will take place June 7-9 and June 14-16 in central locations in downtown Fort Wayne.  This opportunity is for high school sophomores, juniors and seniors to gain leadership skills and network with fellow high school leaders and peers through interactive sessions and activities.  To learn more about this program and to complete the online application visit www.ylni.org or call Jessica Morales at (203) 722-0930.  The application opens on March 1st and the deadline to apply is May 1st.

 

Hoosier Girls State

Current junior females can apply for this event.  This is a once in a lifetime experience designed to educate young women of Indiana in the duties, privileges, rights and responsibilities of citizenship.  It is a week of living and learning the political system of Indiana through a mythical City, County and State.  This event will be virtual and will take place Sunday June 20th through Saturday June 26th.  If you are interested in getting more information about this event, please see Mrs. Nunley in the Guidance Office.

University of Saint Francis Healthcare Summer Camp

Students going into 8th-12th grade in the fall of 2021 can participate in this event.  During this event, students will learn about healthcare careers through fun, hands-on activities.  This event will take place at the University of Saint Francis Doermer Health Sciences Center (2701 Spring Street) on June 8th and 9th from 8:00am-3:45pm.  The cost is $50 per person.  Registration is limited to 48 participants.  Registration opens on April 22, 2021 at www.go.sf.edu/camps or by calling 260-399-7700 ext 8501.  Flyers are available in the Guidance Office.

 

 

Ivy Tech Education I-Career Day

Students will learn about the opportunities for Education majors at Ivy Tech during this event.  This event will take place via Zoom on Friday, April 16 from 9:00am-11:00am.  Students need to RSVP at https://forms.gle/m3C11mPTm37XhnFW9 to receive the Zoom link. 

 

Ivy Tech Made By Me Career Fair

During this event Ivy Tech will review all of the different opportunities available in their Made By Me program.  This will be a Zoom event that will take place on Wednesday, April 21, 2021 from 9:00am-11:30am.  The Zoom link for this event is https://ivytech.zoom.us/j/95798760321.

 

Virtual Christian College Fairs

The Virtual Christian College Fair program is hosting multiple events at multiple times throughout the Spring and Summer.  If you are interested in taking part in any of these opportunities, visit www.VirtualChristianCollegeFairs.com to find an event that works for you.

 

University of Findlay Pharmacy Summer Camp

This is an overnight camp open to students who will be Juniors or Seniors in the Fall of 2021.  Seniors who attend this camp will be given the opportunity to interview for the UF Pharmacy program on the last day of the camp.  The event will be held in person on the University of Findlay campus.  All meals and snacks will be provided for attendees.  There are two dates to choose from for this camp, June 20-23 or July 25-28.  Each event is limited to 50 participants.  Registration is now open and will close on June 14.  The cost for this camp is $350.  Visit www.findlay.edu/pharmacy/pharmacy-summer-camp to register and obtain more information.
