Kids Chance Inc of Indiana

This scholarship is for students whose families have been financially impacted by workplace injury or death.  Information available at www.kidschancein.org.

 

National Co-Op Scholarship Program

Students must have a GPA of 3.5 or better on a 4.0 scale and be accepted into one of the following universities for the 2017-2018 school year:  Drexel University, Johnson & Wales University, Rochester Institute of Technology, University of Cincinnati, University of Toledo, Wentworth Institute of Technology, Clarkson University, State University of New York Oswego, University of Massachusetts Lowell, or Merrimack College.  Students can apply online at www.waceinc.org.

 

Community Foundation of Greater Fort Wayne

The Community Foundation of Greater Fort Wayne offers MANY scholarships to Allen County seniors.  Visit the website at www.cfgfw.org for more information on all of the scholarships or pick up a brochure in guidance.  Application deadlines vary per scholarship.

 

University of Southern Indiana David L. Rice Merit Scholarship

The Rice Merit Scholarship is available to students attending the University of Southern Indiana and have a 3.0 GPA, 1020 SAT or 20 ACT.  Visit www.usi.edu/admissions/scholarships to apply.  Deadline to apply is March 1, 2018.

 

 

Rove Pest Control Scholarship

$500 scholarship awarded to a student based solely on academic achievement, but financial need may be considered.  Students must have a minimum of a 3.0 GPA.  Visit www.rovepestcontrol.com/rove-pest-control-scholarship to apply.  Deadline to apply is December 31, 2017.

 

Senior Advisor: Future of Assisted Living Scholarship

Three $2,000 scholarships will be awarded to students enrolling in any college for either a 2 year or 4 year degree.  Students must submit a 500-750 word essay in response to the question:  How can your major of study improve the lives of seniors in assisted living facilities in your town?  Essay topic and scholarship details can be found at www.senioradvisor.com. Deadline to apply is December 31, 2017.

 

AXA Achievement Scholarship

The United States Jaycee Senate Foundation

This is a one-time $1000 scholarship awarded to a graduating senior.  Application can be found at www.usjcisenate.org under the Scholarship Program tab.  The application deadline is January 5, 2018.  Applications need to be emailed to Kyle Wright at k-w-4@hotmail.com.  Contact Kyle via email or phone at (219) 863-4217 if you have questions.  Copies of the application are available in Guidance.

 

Asian and Pacific Islander American General Scholarship

One time $2,500 awards to multi-year $20,000 awards granted to qualified Asian and Pacific Islander American students with financial need.  Visit www.apiasf.org and click on the scholarship tab for more information.  Deadline to apply is January 11, 2018.

 

Beacon Credit Union

 This $1,000 scholarship is open to Beacon Credit Union members.  Must have been a member of the credit union on or before January 31, 2017.  Requires an essay, application, and transcript.  Applications available in the guidance office or at www.beaconcu.org.   Deadline is January 31, 2018.

 

John F. Kennedy Profile in Courage Essay Contest

The John F. Kennedy Library Foundation invites U.S. high school students to honor  JFK’s birth by participating in the 2018 Profile in Courage Essay Contest.  The first place winner will be awarded $10,000.  For contest information, registration, and to submit an essay, visit www.JFKLibrary.org/essaycontest.  The deadline to submit an essay is January 4, 2018.

 

Allen County Extension Homemakers Scholarship

The Allen County Extension Homemakers offer one $500 scholarship to an Allen County senior who will be attending Purdue West Lafayette or IPFW in the College and Health and Human Services.  Scholarship criteria will be based upon scholastic achievement, leadership and citizenship in school and in the community, career plans, and recommendations.  Applications are available in the guidance office.  Deadline to apply is May 1, 2018.

 

Indiana Tech Northeast Indiana Regional Scholarship

$3,000 per year for any student who resides in or attends a high school within the zip codes that begin with 467 or 468.  Any student who applies to Indiana Tech and gets accepted and meets the above requirements automatically qualifies for the scholarship.  Apply to Indiana Tech at www.indianatech.edu/applynow.

 

Aspriring Fashion Professional

$1,000 to students that are interested in pursuing a fashion degree.  Go to www.fashion-schools.org to apply.  Deadline is June 1, 2018.

 

Aspiring Animation Professional

$1,000 to students that are interested in pursuing an animations career path.  Go to www.animationcareerreview.com.  Deadline is June 1, 2018.

 

Aspiring Business Professional

$1,000 to students that are interested in pursuing a business degree.  Go to www.onlinembareport.com to apply.  Deadline is June 1, 2018.

 

Jim Kelley Memorial Scholarship

2 scholarships in the amount of $1,500 each will be awarded to students pursuing a career in the field of aviation.  One scholarship will be awarded to an individual who is accepted to an accredited four year college or university and one scholarship will be awarded to a student accepted to Ivy Tech Community College’s Air Frame-Power Plant Program.  Students must have a GPA of at least a 3.0 on a 4.0 scale.  Scholarship applications can be picked up in the guidance office.  Deadline to apply is February 28, 2018.

 

Robert C. Batchelder, D.D.S Scholarship

$1,500 scholarship for students majoring in the dental field and attending IPFW or Indiana University-Bloomington.  Applicants must have a minimum of 3.0 GPA on a 4.0 scale.   Apply at www.cfgfw.org.  Deadline to apply is April 28, 2018.  More information is available in the guidance office.

 

Grand Lodge Knights of Pythias

The Knights of Pythias of Indiana will offer 30, $1,000 scholarships to high school seniors who have an 8.0 GPA or higher.  Applications and requirements can be picked up in Guidance or online at www.knightsofpythiasofnewcastle.com (click on “event forms” then on “public form/rules).  Applications must be typed, no handwritten applications will be accepted.  Applications can not be completed online or emailed, they must be mailed and postmarked by the deadline date of January 25, 2018.

 

Americas Farmers Grow AG Leaders

Students can earn $1,500 to kick start their agricultural career.  The application will be available online from November 15, 2017 until February 1, 2018 at www.FFA.org/scholarships.  

 

Questa Scholars Program

The Questa Scholars Program is a forgivable low interest loan available for moderate to middle income individuals and families to assist with filling in the financial gap for education.  Applications are available at www.questafoundation.org and must be submitted between December1,2018 and May 1, 2017.  Information about this program is available in the Guidance Office.  Questions can be emailed to questafoundation.org.  It is beneficial to apply to this program early as spots fill up quickly!!

 

College Covered Discover Scholarship

$2,500 scholarship drawing for students who sign up to receive helpful tips on planning and paying for college at www.CollegeCovered.com/Assist.  No purchase is necessary to be entered into the drawing.  Visit www.Scholarship.collegecovered.com/do/rules for more information.  Deadline is December31, 2017.

 

Hispanic Student Scholarship Fund

$500-$5,000 scholarship awarded to a student of Hispanic heritage.  Students must have a minimum of a 3.0 GPA, demonstrate financial need, and plan to attend a 4 year college.  Applicants must be a US Citizen, Permanent Legal Resident, DACA or Eligible Non-Citizen (as defined by FAFSA).  Apply at www.hsf.net/scholarship.  Scholarship opens on January 1, 2018 and the deadline to apply is March 31, 2018.

 

IU South Bend Informatics Selective Scholarship

This is a full scholarship totally $30,000 over 4 years to a student who is planning to attend IU South Bend and major in Informatics.  Applicants must have a minimum of a 3.5 GPA, be ranked in the top 10% of the graduating class, complete a Core 40 or ACHD, and demonstrate a strong background in science and math.  Students can apply at www.go.iu.edu/1JMf.  Deadline to apply is January 16, 2018.

 

United Energy Workers Healthcare Scholarship

$1,000 scholarship awarded to students pursuing a career in healthcare, special consideration will be given to those pursuing a career in Home Healthcare.  Applicants must demonstrate financial need and have a minimum GPA of a 3.0.  Apply at www.uewhealth.com/eeoicpa-reca/#scholarship-application.  Deadline to apply is July 31, 2018.
